Tragedy Strikes on the Ski Slope:
On Monday, March 16, 2009, Richardson was taking a private ski lesson on Mont Tremblant in Quebec. Richardson fell, hit her head, and was escorted off the mountain by the ski patrol. Although she felt fine immediately after the incident, she developed a headache an hour later and was taken to a local hospital before being transferred to the Hopital du Sacre-Coeur de Mont. On March 17th she was moved to Lenox Hill Hospital in New York. On March 18th, Richardson passed away from the brain injury she suffered as a result of the fall.
